We collect the minimum we need to run the service, never sell your data, and give you full control over what's stored.
What we collect
Account information. Your name, email address, and any profile details you choose to provide when you create an Art Futures account.
Usage data. Which opportunities you save, search terms, filters applied, and basic engagement signals that help us improve recommendations.
Device data. Device type, operating system, app version, crash logs, and approximate region, collected via Sentry and PostHog.
How we use it
To operate the service. Authenticate your account, sync your saved opportunities across devices, and surface relevant content.
To communicate. Send transactional emails (account, billing, security) and — only if you've opted in — newsletters and digest updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To improve. Diagnose bugs, measure feature usage, and refine the discovery algorithm.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share information only with the processors that make Art Futures work — hosting (Supabase), payments (RevenueCat), analytics, and crash reporting — under strict data-protection agreements.
Data retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it to provide the service, and no longer than the periods below.
Account information. Retained for as long as your Art Futures account is active. If you delete your account, we erase your name, email, and profile details within 30 days, except where we are legally required to keep limited records (for example, VAT and billing records, which we retain for 6 years in line with Irish Revenue rules).
Saved opportunities and preferences. Retained while your account is active and deleted with your account.
Usage data (searches, filters, engagement signals). Retained in identifiable form for up to 24 months, then either deleted or fully anonymised so it can no longer be linked to you.
Device data, crash logs, and analytics. Retained in Sentry and PostHog for up to 90 days for crash reports and up to 12 months for product analytics, after which records are deleted or anonymised.
Transactional and marketing emails. Delivery logs are retained for up to 12 months. If you unsubscribe from newsletters we retain a minimal suppression record indefinitely so that we do not email you again.
Support correspondence. Retained for up to 24 months from the date of last contact.
You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing hello@artfutures.ie, and we will erase it within 30 days unless we are required by law to keep it for longer.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@artfutures.ie and we'll respond within 30 days.
